Today, Monday, the Phenix Center for Economic and Informatics Studies, in collaboration with Action Against Hunger and the "Grow Economy" project coalition, launched the results of two policy papers addressing decent work conditions and gender-based violence in the Jordanian agricultural sector. This took place during a conference that discussed the key challenges facing agricultural workers (both men and women) and the required policies to improve the working environment in this vital sector.

The Phenix Center for Economic and Informatics Studies, in collaboration with the Oxford Internet Institute and funded by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), launched the results of two studies under the “Fairwork” project for 2025, highlighting the realities of working conditions for digital platform workers in Jordan.

Children in Jordan are facing an increasingly alarming reality shaped by expanding poverty and the declining quality of public education, two factors pushing a growing number of them into the labor market at the expense of their right to education and protection. Despite numerous official and non-official initiatives to curb the phenomenon, the root causes remain largely unaddressed, with no comprehensive solutions targeting the structural drivers of child labor.

The Phenix Center for Economic and Informatics Studies began yesterday, Wednesday, the implementation of a specialized training program aimed at strengthening the capacities of local civil society organizations in Jerash Governorate. The program involves the participation of 20 civil society organizations from across the governorate, working in diverse social and developmental fields.

The Jordan Labor Watch affirmed that ensuring decent working conditions for all workers in Jordan is the true entry point to strengthening social protection and achieving sustainable economic growth.
