The Phenix Center for Economic Studies, as part of its Jordanian Labor Watch program, is launching its annual media campaign on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, which falls on November 25 of each year.
The 16-day campaign aims to highlight the economic violence to which many women in Jordan are subjected, represented by violations in their work environment and the discrimination they face, whether in wages or employment.
The campaign also aims to raise awareness of women's economic and social rights and the importance of increasing their economic participation by providing them with a friendly work environment that ensures they do not withdraw from the labor market.
The campaign includes social media messages that range from awareness-raising messages about women's economic and social rights in Jordan to messages that include recommendations and alternative policies to improve the work environment to become friendly to women.
The campaign emphasizes the importance of increasing women's economic participation, as one of the most important economic issues facing the Jordanian economy is the very low economic participation of women, which puts additional pressure on the Jordanian economy and deprives it of latent and untapped productive capacities and capabilities.
