Labor Watch- Jordan Medical Association warned of a wave of unemployment that may affect the health sector in the coming period a result of increasing the numbers of graduates, and weak appointments in the Ministry of Health.
The member of the Jordan Medical Association Dr. Hisham al-Fatiani, that there are 1400 doctors registered in the Civil Service Bureau, compared to the appointment of 250 doctors only this year and he added to Al-Balad radio that the escape of the medical staff from the ministry and the absence of the appointments will lead to a decrease in the number of doctors compared to the population in the Kingdom and the weak medical services provided to them.
The Secretary-General of the High Health Council, Dr. Mohammad Rasul Al-Tarawneh, has confirmed that the number of doctors has decreased from 26.5 per 10 thousand citizens in 2010 to 14.1 doctors last year.
