Phosphate truck drivers staged a sit-in protest against the transferring system
Labor Watch- At the entrance of Al Karak city, the drivers of more than 150 of phosphate trucks from AlAbyad mine sit-in against what they called "The lack of justice in the shifts distribution between the trucks."
Hundreds of trucks gathered at the entrance of the city demanding for their rights of transferring in order to be in the same level with Al Hasa and Al Shedeyyah mines’ trucks and adding that they have commitment and premiums for trucks and the truck does not meet their requirements when they are given one shift every 30 days while they have been demanding for years to solve this problem but there was no response to their demands.
