Labor Watch - Today, Monday, engineers working in the public sector continue their partial strike, from eight until eleven in the morning, to demand an increase in the technical bonus.
The president of the Jordanian Engineers Association (JEA), Eng. Ahmad Samara Al Zoubi, said that last Thursday the union held a meeting with the Minister of Education and the Jordan Agricultural Engineers Association to discuss the allowances for engineers working in the Ministry of Education, adding that it was agreed to resume the dialogue within the current week. He pointed out that the Union Council appreciates the efforts made by public sector engineers during the past month and their commitment to strike until they achieve their legitimate and just demands. The Union Council also stated that they have been doing their best and they are still negotiating with all parties in order to obtain the technical allowance that public sector engineers deserve, with the support of several and different unions.
