Labor Watch - Third category employees of the Ministry of Education announced an open-ended strike from next Wednesday, after the failure of the negotiations for their demands.
They demand equality with employees of other ministries in terms of salaries, working hours, public holidays, bonuses and incentives and the application of the civil service system.
Employees are also asking for a salary increase of 100 dinars, the inclusion of their children in the Royal High Honor as children of education workers, the assignment of specific job titles according to the nature of the work performed, the inclusion of job titles among the hazardous occupations granting the related risk allowance, the recruitment of new third category’s staff to fill the shortfalls and relieve the work pressure on the current employees and the establishment of a 7-hour work day starting from next year.
