Labor Watch - On Wednesday hundreds of teachers in front of Marka Education Directorate protested against the decision of the Director of Education to transfer five teachers from Al Karama School, as they upheld the decision of the union to strike.
The participants of the vigil demanded the ministry to reverse the decision to transfer the teachers, while keep stressing their main demands for a 50-percent raise and for an apology about what happened to the teachers on the 5th of September when they tried to sit in protest in the fourth circle.
The participants stated that they will continue their protests and they will not engage in any dialogue with the government, until the latter will cancel any punishment or reprisal against the strike’s participants.
