Labor Watch - Jordanian teachers continue their strike for the 14th consecutive day without reaching an agreement with the government on the 50-per cent raise.
The media spokesperson for the teachers' union, Noureddine Nadim, said that the union did not receive any initiative from the government to return to the dialogue table in order to resolve the crisis.
He also criticized the Prime Minister's remarks that currently there are no solutions for the problem of the teachers, noting that this procrastination is at the expense of the student and teacher.
On the other hand, a member of the Jordan Teachers Association Council, Ghaleb Abu Qudeis, invited the principals of the schools that are subjected to attempts of assault to go through legal procedures, by going to the directorates of education, contact the legal team in the teachers' union and file a complaint with the security office.
