Labor Watch - Dozens of lawyers on Tuesday staged a sit-in in northern Amman demanding to change the court building.
The lawyers, according to a statement issued by the General Board of the lawyers of the Court of First Instance in northern Amman, demanded to change the court building "because it no longer meets the minimum requirements of the daily judicial work as well as the shortage of staff that is not commensurate with the size of the work in the court, which leads to the disruption and delay of transactions, and negatively affects the work of the judge, the employee and the lawyer".
If the Justice Ministry does not respond to their demands, the lawyers will continue their sit-ins even if they have to carry out a strike in the court building, the lawyers said.
