Labor Watch - An employee of the Irbid municipality on Tuesday began a hunger strike to protest the mayor's decision that presents of removing him from his workplace following previous labor protests.
The employee, Mohammad Al-Batayneh, calls for the cancellation of the decision to transfer him to his former workplace.
For his part, the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Municipalities Workers said in a post on its Facebook page that "this strike will not continue individually" in the case of non-response to the worker and return him to his workplace in addition to that "the Union will support him and stand by his side."
