"Ministry of Labor": delaying salaries more than a week contrary to the law

Labor Watch - Minister of Labor Samir Murad confirmed that when the salary of employees of the private sector delayed, he has the right under the Labor Law to file a complaint with the Ministry to assign inspection teams to take appropriate measures according to the Labor Law.
The Minister of Labor said in a press statement on Sunday that "no employer or facility is entitled to delay payment of the wage to the employee for the service received, whatever the reason," noting that the labor law punishes this procedure.
He explained that "the permissible period for delaying salaries is not more than a week and those whose salary is delayed must submit a complaint to the Ministry of Labor to take the appropriate action," explaining that taking into account the economic conditions of employers is not at the expense of the employee.
Murad stressed that the labor law is clear and stipulate that the employee must receive his salary on time and must not be delayed more than a week, noting that the law protects everyone.
