Labor Watch - Dozens of bus drivers of private school students staged a sit-in in front of the Ministry of Transport on Thursday against the decision of the Council of Ministers to grant buses customs and tax exemptions.
The decision also granted the rest of the buses exemption for one year provided that replace the old "bus” with the latest model of 2018.
Bus owners said that the decision would lead to the dismissal of their services because in this case private schools will buy their own buses.
They also demand of the extension of the operational life of buses and don not specify "model" in the write-off, in order to allow owners of buses to buy buses with an older model and lower price.
The Council of Ministers issued a decision last week to grant the private buses that transfer students, which are to be replaced or will be registered and licensed to strengthen the fleet tax and customs exemptions fully, as of the date of the issuance of the Council of Ministers until 31/12/2019, for one time.
