Labor Watch - On Tuesday, the staff of the Directorate of Public Works of Balqa Governorate held a sit-in in front of the Directorate building in Salt to demand their financial rights.
The workers said that their demands are to include them in the system of end of service reward / a salary for every year of service as the other ministries' employees , in addition to add the overtime work on the salary and calculating the years of service for day laborers after stabilize them, add the transportation allowance on basic salary, provide housing for employees in addition to raising the annual increase.
The Director of Balqa Public Works Eng. Jamil Al-Mashqaba said that he met with the protestors and discussed their demands and promised to raise them to the ministry in order to study them and fulfill the demands that can be fulfilled.
