Labor agreement between the
Labor Watch - A labor agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs on Sunday evening between representatives of protesting municipal workers and the ministry.
The head of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Municipal Workers Ahmed al-Saadi announced about reaching an agreement with the ministry to meet all the demands of protested workers and to stop protests in the municipalities of the Kingdom.
He told "Labor Watch" that the labor agreement signed with the ministry represented by Minister Walid al-Masri and Secretary-General Walid al-Atoum stipulated a halt the protests in the municipalities and a back to work in addition to meet demands related to the ministry as of Monday morning and raise the rest of the demands to the Prime Ministry and the House of legislation and opinion urgently.
He explained that this agreement came as a result of the insistence of workers in the municipalities to obtain their full rights and not to succumb to pressure from their belief in the fairness of their demands and their commitment to the law as well as peaceful of mobility.
