Failure of the mediation of Al Tarawneh, and the municipalities' workers have returned to strike on Wednesday
Labor Watch - Jordan independent trade union federation announced the failure of the mediation of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Atef Tarawneh to defuse the crisis between municipal workers and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs after the retreat of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs to fulfill its obligations to form a committee to study the file and reach satisfactory solutions of forming the committee without a meeting and take a number of steps to get out of the crisis.
The Federation President Suleiman Al-Jamaani confirmed to the "Labor Watch" the adoption of the workers ' demands and give a period for the Minister of Municipal Affairs Walid al-Masri during the period of suspension of the strike to arrange a way out of the crisis and weaken the position of the protesting workers by finding alternatives by pressure on the mayors to cover the absence of workers during the strike period and reduce the negative effects on citizens.

He pointed out that the protesting workers will return to strike on Wednesday morning, while a protest will be held in front of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs next Sunday morning 4th of November to protest against the marginalization of the ministry to the demands of the workers and its attempts to thwart their mobility by holding side agreements with the heads of the municipal councils instead of sitting for holding a dialogue and listening to workers and their representatives .

The workers in the municipalities suspended the strike on 17 of this month for two weeks upon request of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and members of the Labor Committee, and give the House of Representatives an opportunity to intervene with the government to meet their demands.
