Labor Watch - Workers at Abraaj Al Arab Company, ATCO Steel, complain that the company has not yet paid their salaries due to lack of cash flow situation and customers' failure to meet their financial obligations.
These workers told the "Labor Watch" that procrastination and stalling are showed up by the company with frequent delays in their salaries and financial dues for more than once and not to estimate the need of these employees and their financial circumstances.
They confirmed the recurrence of the suffering of about 150 workers in the company in Mafraq from the delay of the payment of salaries, ranging from 400 - 500 JOD in addition to submitt many complaints to the Mafraq Labor Directorate, but their complaint is not heard.
The workers who are protest explained that the company renewed violation of their rights by delaying the payment of salaries and irregularity in delivery on time, which puts them under many material pressures related to some legal obligations such as bank loans.
The workers accused Mafraq Labor Directorate of negligence in applying the law to the company and its lack of supporting the workers' rights despite their repeated complaints.
