Labor Watch - The Jordan Engineers Association Called its members who work in the Ministry of Education to strike on Thursday.
The assosiation said, "Due to the failure of the Council of Ministers to respond to the demands of engineers working in the Ministry of Education and the non-response of the government after the strike carried out by the engineers of the ministry in their workplaces, the Jordanian Engineers Assosiation announce the continuation of the strike on Thursday morning, 18/10/2018 for all engineers working in the ministry at their work sites until further notice.
Engineers working in Ministry of Education are demanding of increasing the profession allowance to 150% to be equal with the engineers working in other sectors.
The association called engineers working in the Ministry of Education to be fully committed of the strike until the demands are met.
