Labor Watch - Al al-Bayt University employees on Tuesday staged a sit-in in front of the university's presidency to demand their return to work and access to the justice.
The participants in the sit-in expressed their rejection of the decision to stop their work, which they considered it "null and void based on the Jordanian law, which affirms that the decision to stop the thirty-eight employees is invalid because it is not based on a basis, and carries with it a case of revenge while it has been issued by the opponent in the case besides the abuse of power ".
The employees said that they resorted to sit-in after exhausting all available means to reach an understanding and lift the injustice of them, demanding the cancellation of the decision and the return of all employees to work with their full salaries and dues.
The protesters also stressed the continuation of the sit-in and escalation "in the case of failure to respond to their legitimate demand and lift the injustice of the workers who accompanied the establishment of the University since its beginning, noting that the carrying forward the implementation the decision has ominous consequences."
