Labor Watch - The Administrative Committee of the House of Representatives and the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Labor reached an agreement to solve the problem of workers in the Jordanian-Syrian Industrial Free zone Company.
The agreement provides for the Ministry of Labor to appoint employees of the company with jobs in the northern areas to ensure that they don't receive less than the minimum wage, provided remaining them on their job at the company and receive a quarter of the agreed salary, as well as ensure their return to work when the Syrian crisis is resolved and the border is fully opened .
This came during a meeting held by the Administrative Committee of the House of Representatives in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Trade and Supply, the Secretary-General of the Ministry, the Director of the Syrian-Jordanian Industrial Free Zone Company, the Assistant Secretary General of the Ministry of Labor and representatives of the employees of the company.
