"Medical association" declares stop working on Tuesday

Labor watch- The Jordanian Medical association has announced that it will take escalatory steps including stop working next Tuesday, for two hours, in order to meet their members demands.
The association said in a statement “due to the loss of the hope in achieving the fair demands of the association, the Council of the Medical Association decided to take to another form of expression and raising the demands to another level, perhaps it will to be responded by officials”.
The association indicated in the statement that the escalation program will begin on Tuesday, 7 August, where the stop of working will include the doctors in their location in all facilities of the Ministry of Health for two hours from 10 am to 12 pm with the exception of the emergency cases.
The association explained that the second step is "to stop working on Sunday, 12 August for four hours starting from 10 am to 2 pm in addition to a protest in front of the ministry building."
In its statement, the association indicated that these two steps will be followed by a gradual escalation program according to the situation.
Doctors are demanding to improve their financial situation in order to support their families at an appropriate level, ensuring the survival of the medical staff in the ministry and keep them away from the job opportunities that they receive from outside and inside, also reduce working pressure by increase the staff so they can provide the required service, which requires increasing the number of doctors who are appointed and then resident doctors, they also demanding of a program for specialized courses and missions.
