Dar Al-Dawa employees achieve part of their demands
Labor Watch - Employees of Dar Al Dawa Company on Thursday suspended their strike after an agreement with the company administration, according to which the salary increased 30 JD in terms of cost of living allowance.
Independent Trade Union of Workers in Health Services Chairperson Mohammad Ghanem and Dar Al Dawa General Manager Khalid Al Kurdi have signed the agreement which stipulated that the workers cancel their strike and back to work in exchange for a 30JD salary increase in terms of cost of living allowance by August.
They also received guarantees that no disciplinary actions or penalties will be applied to employees in relation to the protests but they also have to work two Saturdays free instead of the strike days.
"This agreement is good and fulfills some of the demands of Dar Al-Dawa's employees, but it does not meet all the aspirations of the employees who were hoping to fulfill all their demands," said the union's chairperson, Mohamed Ghanem.
Ghanem added that it was agreed with the administration that the dialogue would remain open on all demands to be implemented as possible after the end of the study conducted by the company on the organizational issues, the salary and job description of the employees, which supposed to be completed by the end of the year.
The agreement was signed under the patronage of the Director and members of the Labor and Social Development Committee in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Labor, the Director of Labor Relations in the Labor Ministry and workers' representatives.
