Labor Watch - The Cabinet approved on Monday the civil retirement draft law for 2018.
According to the draft law, the minister has the right of retirement if he reaches seven years of servicing in the ministries, public departments or municipalities, while the Minister who serviced less than seven years can ask to subject the period of his servicing to social security law.
Under the draft law, the Minister, the judge or the civil employee included under the civil service retirement system and employee appointed by contract that has come into effect before the provisions of this amended law are subject to the new draft law, while the civil and military retirees who return to service after the draft law goes into effect, as well as judges and employees who are appointed after the bill goes into effect, are excluding from this draft law, as they will be subject to the Social Security Law.
The bill also allows the husband and wife to combine their pension and a share of the retirement salary of the dead spouse.
